Have you wondered what the quarter code really means?
How will I know what the next term will be called?
If the year is 2008, and I am trying to determine the code for the Fall term, where do I begin?
~ the first digit is for the "century" portion of the year we are currently in (e.g. 2008) ~ 2+0 = 2
~ the next two digits are for the year = 08
~ and the last digit signifies which term =
2 Winter
4 Spring
6 Summer
8 Fall
Fall term in 2008 would then be called "2088"
(Examples: Spring Term in 2112 = 3124; Winter Term in 3107 = 4072)
Fall 2008 = 2088
Winter 2009 = 2092
Spring 2009 = 2094
Summer 2009 = 2096
Fall 2009 = 2098
